The cut isn't especially slimming and if I were still living in the city, I'd probably want something a slight dressier. However, this jacket is well made and inviting enough, seems durable, and should keep me warm running around town. (I'd want something heavier if I were going to go trekking straight through the woods on a cold winter day. It is, as some reviewers have said, filled with polyester rather than down, and the lining isn't all that thick.) It also runs small. I read reviews of the jacket on other websites before ordering, found this out, and ordered an extra large, even though "large" ordinarily leaves me fullness of room for layering. The extra large turned out to be the right size - I'd suggest ignoring the sizing chart and ordering a size larger than you'd ordinarily wear. The pockets are big sufficient for hand-warming as well as for carrying a wallet and keys. The hood zips on and off easily, the zipper is a heavy-duty plastic one that's easy to work, and best of all, the jacket zips high around the neck - no need for a scarf to keep drafts out. All in all, I'm satisfied with the purchase - a good buy for the price.
